For the purposes of Fractal eXtreme, a poster is any image that is of such high resolution that it is impractical to calculate by normal means. It can mean anything from a 3300 by 2400 laser printed image to a 15000 by 12000 wall size poster. Fractal eXtreme's poster renderer can also be used on small images, when antialiasing is desired.
